SOOOO WRONG!!!!!!

Top of the morning my dear readers.

Today I want to share my thoughts on Akon's interview with TMZ. He was asked about the pressures of being in a monogamous relationship; he said a lot of things but the statement that struck me was

"Men are put on this earth to breed and the reason why God put multiple women on this earth is for that; but women aren’t built to breed like that or mate with more than one partner. Women aren’t built that way, men are".

Akon got it all wrong and a lot of people have this misconception. No man or woman was built to cheat or have multiple partners. We were built in the image of God and after His likeness; although you are born again but your flesh is not born again. It takes the grace of God to discipline your flesh  and your mindset. It is very wrong to think "ALL MEN CHEAT"because not all men cheat and not all women are faithful either.

There is no point trying to generalize and make yourself believe  this misconception because it only makes it ok for some Men  to think "well that's how I was built, it is a man's world so deal with  it". No No No No Mister... you can be different, you can discipline yourself through the Grace of God to be satisfied and committed to that 1 spouse you have.

I know it is not easy and we all get distracted and tempted at some point. I mean who would not get tired of eating rice every single day. So Instead of going outside to look for beans, why not try making your rice with beans or adding something different to the way you cook and eat your rice.#hope you understand this analogy.

Please share your thoughts....

Thanks

Marriage!!!!

Hi People,

LRA - Notes from Messages
Marriage as God's Foundational Building Block for Societal Stability

Sunday, November 10, 2013 - Pastor Tunde Bakare
=====================

THE MEANING OF MARRIAGE - Part VI

Hebrews 13:4 (NKJV)
Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge:

Avoid what God says avoid. Three examples of a nation, individual and the priesthood
1. The nation of Israel
2. Individuals - David, Solomon
II Sam 3:2-5
I Kings 11:1-11
Neh. 13:23-26
3. Priests
Ezra. 9:1-4

Marriage is not merely a private arrangement between two people. It is a core social institution.

KEY CHARCTERISTICS / INGREDIENTS OF A GODLY MARRIAGE:

1. God designed marriage as a partnership between one man and one woman and NOT the union of multiple partners or same sex partners. This is what God designed from the beginning.

2. God designed marriage to be a permanent union. The notion of two becoming one flesh and the sexual union between married couples typifies the oneness in marriage.

3. A truly godly marriage takes place on three levels:
- Spirit. If you are not led by the same spirit, you will not share the same values.
- Soul, and
- Body.
Most marriages are merely a product of physical attraction, so when beauty fails, such marriages collapse.

Note the following personality Profiles:
Gen 24:12-29 - Posture of humility. Dismount your camel. Get off your high horse.
Physically, Rebekah was beautiful and also Intelligent
II Sam 14:25-27 - example of beauty without brain.
II Sam 18:18. Absalom had three sons but had no time to raise them.

4. God designed marriage for the purpose of procreation. This ensures the continuation of the human race and enables us to continually fulfill HIS plans for the earth. Marriage is the incubator of Children, the only mechanism for the healthy cultivation of the next generation.

It is very significant that while Adam was alone, Satan did not attack him. But when the man and woman were pronounced husband and wife by the almighty God, all hell broke lose.

The attack in the garden was against the institution of marriage. The enemy is against your marriage because in therein is the building block for the next generation.

For note and prayer points:
Neh 2:11,12 - build strong walls around your home, defend your marriage.
Neh 4:10 - 14 this is the good fight of faith.
I Kings 20:1-18 - Do not consent to the enemy's desire!!! Stand in defense of your Gold, your Silver, your Spouse, your Sons and your Daughters.
